All of us
The Bible teaches that every person who believes in Jesus is a minister. That’s in Ephesians chapter 4 verse 12.
So that means that we’ve got a church that’s full of ministers!
We’re involved in everything from playing music through to leading small group Bible studies; from occasional preaching through to running kids’ programs; from visiting sick and elderly through to leading services; from cooking and cleaning through to maintenance and gardening. Everyone does everything, and we’re sure there’s something that everyone can be involved with.
Senior Minister – Jodie McNeill
Jodie is married to Mandy and has four children: Hugo (10), Oscar (14), Jemimah (18) and Liana (19).
As Senior Minister, Jodie is our main Bible teacher on Saturdays and Sundays, and he cares for us by praying for us, meeting up with us, and helping train us in how to live lives that honour God.
Jodie trained at Moore Theological College, and loves to carefully understand the Bible so he can teach it to us each week and help us know more about God and ourselves.
He loves meeting new people, and when you visit us, he’ll do his best to say “G’day” and share a cuppa with you. If you’d love to talk to him about how to follow Jesus, he’s always got time to chat.
Jodie enjoys reading, hiking, photography, playing and listening to music, ukuleles, watching movies that make him think, and trying to stand up on his longboard at ‘The Farm’ without injuring himself.
You can follow Jodie on Twitter at @jodiemcneill or visit his own website at www.jodiemcneill.com.
His email address is email@example.com and you can phone him on +612 4231 9512.
Assistant Minister – Graham Errington
Graham is the ‘old dude’ on team. He is married to Lesley, and has children, but the four grandchildren are the apple of his eye.
He has both a BSc (Sydney University) and a BTh (Moore College), and will happily talk science and theology with you.
Graham’s gifts are in pastoring and teaching. He enjoys a good (and a bad) game of golf, winning Minesweeper, his shed and tools, and listening to 70’s rock music. His favourite band is “The Band”.
At Jamberoo Anglican he leads services and a bible study, preaches, visits folk, especially the seniors and the new folk in town.
His email address is firstname.lastname@example.org or you can phone him on +612 4231 9514.
Youth Minister – Rayne Orange
Rayne comes from Canada and is married to Tim who she met while in Australia in 2016 as our Ministry Intern. She is now our Youth Minister and is studying to get her degree in youth ministry at Briercrest College & Seminary.
Her role at church involves various ministries, with a focus on youth and kids, including teaching Scripture in School.
Rayne likes music, eating good food, drinking good coffee, and playing board/card games, so she’s really not that hard to keep happy!
Rayne can be phoned on 0490 342 595 or emailed on email@example.com.
Personal Assistant to the Senior Minister – Valerie O’Regan
Valerie joined our staff team in 2016 as Personal Assistant to the Senior Minister, and if you need to know something about anything, she’s sure to be able to help.
In her spare time Valerie enjoys reading, binge-watching NETFLIX, spending time with friends (usually at the movies) and conversations with people that make her think or laugh, but mostly laugh!
She works in the Oak Flats Anglican office Mondays through to Fridays from around 10am to 3pm.
You can call her on +612 4231 9510 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Jemimah McNeill – Year 13 Student
Jemimah is part of the ‘Year 13’ is a Christian discipleship gap year for school leavers, designed to grow faith and knowledge of Jesus and prepare them for the future.
The program includes reading the entire Bible, undergoing theological training through completing a Diploma of Christian Studies and the experience of the challenges and joys of overseas mission through a month-long trip to Fiji.
Jemimah is focusing on children and youth ministries by teaching SRE, leading at Kids Club, serving the young girls at Refuge and coordinating the kids’ program on Saturday nights at Jamberoo Anglican.
She can be contacted by email on email@example.com.
Anglican Churches have wardens who are responsible for the upkeep of the physical property, for the budget/treasury and for paying the minister.
Our wardens in 2017 are:
• Mr Trevor Lucas: Trevor met his wife Robyn while they were serving on the mission field in the 1960s. After a career in medical science and serving as a layman at Caringbah Anglican, Trevor retired to Jamberoo where he helps out in the Bible teaching ministry. Trevor is also the secretary at wardens’ and parish council meetings.
• Mr Robert Curll: Robert is married to Helen and they have six grandchildren whom they dote on. Robert is an electrician in his spare time when he’s not being the jack-of-all-trades warden.
• Mr James Rosten: Appointed this year as Rector’s Warden, James is our newest warden and our Treasurer.
