Church news for the week beginning 2nd October 2021

OUR SERMON

This weekend we will be looking at Hebrew 1:1-3 as Jacob Mierendorff preaches to us from God’s word about how ‘Jesus is Supreme’. Join us all as we anchor ourselves in the truth of Jesus Christ and bask in him supremacy!

CHURCH ONLINE

Join us for online church this weekend! We would love you come along to our 5 pm Saturday or 9 am Sunday service. Head to watch.jamberooanglican.com to tune in.

DINNER AND MORNING TEA ONLINE

We would love you to join us in sharing a meal together on zoom for dinner on Saturday night or morning tea on Sunday morning after church. Join us at meet.jamberooanglican.com.

DID YOU READ GENTLE AND LOWLY?

If you read Gentle and Lowly with us last month, we would love you to share what you learned in the process. Here is a link to a review you can fill out. The idea is that we will gather up what people were encouraged by and learned from the book and then share that with our church family. If you would like to encourage our church family in this way then please consider letting us know your thoughts.

MISSION OF THE MONTH

Our mission of the month for October is Anglicare’s Toys and Tucker Appeal. You can donate some toys online or make a cash donation here. If you would like to drop off physical gifts to the church, that can be done after 2 pm every Saturday.

MTS RECRUIT CONFERENCE

MTS Recruit is on this weekend! Please pray for those of us who are considering how to best serve the Lord with their future.

BOOK OF THE MONTH

For October we will be reading Guidance and the Voice of God by Philip Jensen. Head over to the books page on our website to grab a copy!

GIVING UPDATE

Each week we need to receive $6300.00 in order to meet our commitments. Last month, our average weekly giving was $5509.00, leaving a gap of $791.00. Up to the end of the last calendar month we needed to have received $273,000. Compared to that total we received $245,588, leaving a gap of $27,412.

Electronic giving is a great way to give! It helps us prayerfully plan our giving, and then the bank will help us keep that commitment, even when we may be unable to attend. To give by direct transfer then these are the NEW details. Account name: Jamberoo Anglican Church. Account number: 356831. BSB: 032605.

To give to our tax-deductible MTS Scholars Fund to support our apprentice youth minister, head to mts.com.au/give/jamberoo-anglican-church/
