Jamberoo Anglican is a Bible-based and Christ-centred community church in the Kiama region of New South Wales, Australia, about an hour and a half south of the city of Sydney.
We’ve got people here of all ages, from babies to oldies, and we welcome anyone who wants to hear about being alive with Christ, as we hear him speak to us through the words of the Bible by the power of his Holy Spirit to the great glory of God the father.
We’re part of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney which means we’re connected with thousands of other Christians in the Illawarra and Sydney who share the common goal of telling the whole universe about how awesome is the real hope found in the real Jesus.
On Saturdays we meet at 5pm, and on Sundays we meet at 9am, and our services are held at 45 Churchill Street, Jamberoo.
We’ve also got lots of groups that meet during the week, from toddlers to seniors, and we’re sure we’ve got a group that you’ll fit into perfectly.
If you’re planning to visit, check out this page that’s just for you.
At Jamberoo Anglican Church we have six values that give us unique flavour.
We are an evangelical church with a long history of proclaiming the gospel of the Risen Lord Jesus.
As members of the Anglican Church of Australia, Diocese of Sydney, we subscribe to the thirty-Nine Articles of the Anglican Church and the Book of Common Prayer as the guide for orderly gatherings and a practical distillation of doctrine as revealed in Holy Scripture.
Our Church contains a rich history that in God’s kindness has spanned the last 178 years.
Our Leadership Team
God has been so kind in giving us an awesome leadership team.
Cameron and Alex Jones
Cameron and Alex are part of the Irish Church Missions, specifically the Silicon Docks Project. They are based in Dublin, Ireland. In God’s strength they are working to run weekly Bible talks for workers in Dublin. They are also helping Christians identify in their workplaces, invite colleagues to hear the Bible taught, grow in their own faith, and equip them to tell others about Jesus.
J in the Middle East
J is our friend who shares the gospel over in the Middle East.
The Lovell Family
Adrian and Anita are regional directors of MOCLAM: an organisation that makes theological education available to Spanish speakers in South America.
The Lovells teach and administer MOCLAM courses to Christians from churches across Bolivia – in particular, those who are heavily involved in gospel ministry, but have little or no theological training. Adrian and Anita help students see how Jesus is key to understanding the Bible, with the aim of equipping and empowering them to share Jesus faithfully from the Bible.
