Gong Men’s Day

Announcing New Serve Teams

In response to your surveys, we’re hoping to launch some new Serve Teams in the next few weeks. We’re considering having groups that will meet 10am Monday (fortnightly), 7pm Monday (weekly), 11am Wednesday (3rd of the month), 7pm Wednesday (weekly), and 3pm Saturdays (weekly). We’ll be in contact to find out which one suits you the best, but if you’ve not yet filled in a form, please try and do that this weekend.

Ladies’ Dinner

The second of our new-look quarterly Ladies’ Dinners will be held this Tuesday 15th May with guest speaker Sue Milne, a Christian Psychologist who will speak on the topic of ‘Fear, Anxiety  and Depression‘. 7pm in the church, cost $15. Please RSVP to office@jamberooanglican.com.

Market Day – 19th May

Join us on Saturday 19th May, 9am to 12pm as we host Market Day.  A great day for the Jamberoo community. What can you do to help on the day?  What do you have to contribute? Can you pot some plants? Can you start thinking about a cake or slice or lollies, etc? Can you get your vegetables to be ready for 19 May? What about jewellery or craft items? Next weekend we begin our new series looking at the New Testament book of Romans, called ‘The Heart of Truth’ as Jodie preaches on the first talk from Romans chapter 1 verses 1 to 17.

Join us at 5pm to hear a special update from our Middle East Missionary, Jo. We’re joining together for a ‘Middle East Feast’ dinner at 6.30pm, so don’t miss out! Annual General Meeting

We give thanks to God for our new office holders in 2018. Our Wardens are Robert Curll, Trevor Lucas and James Rosten. Our Parish Counsellors are Paul Massey, Tim Orange and Julie Rosten, with one more person to be selected by Jodie.

Anzac Day March

Join the community of Jamberoo for an Anzac Day Service on Saturday 21st April at 10.15am for a 10.30am start. Fall in outside RSL Hall, Allowrie St. Graham and Rayne will be involved in the service.

Children’s and youth programs in holidays

During school holidays our normal midweek children’s and youth programs take a break until 5th May. However we plan to continue a mini-program during the 5pm Saturday service as required.

Men’s Dinner 1st May

Next term’s men’s dinner is not to be missed. Special guest Marshall Ballantine-Jones will address the critical issue of ‘Purity in a Porn-filled Planet.’ Central Hotel Shellharbour.

McNeills away

Jodie and his family will be on leave from 16th April until the 24th April.

Office arrangements for holidays

Valerie will be absent from the office from Tuesday 17th April to Wednesday 25th April. In the meantime, our other staff will be monitoring our church phone and emails.

Jo is coming!

Jo, our Middle East missionary from CMS is joining us for two, special events in May. Saturday 5th May we’re going to have a special ‘Middle East Feast’ for our evening dinner, after Jo shares in church about her mission work. On the following Wednesday 9th May it’s an extended Prayer and Support Night where we’ll hear more details about Jo’s ministry, and join for extended prayer. Be there!

AGM and Pot Luck Lunch

Our AGM will be held on Sunday 8th April, with a BYO Pot-luck lunch starting at 1pm. This is a great opportunity to meet people from across our two congregations, with the formal meeting from 2pm to 3.30pm. An important time to review the past and plan the future, as we also elect representatives to serve our church. Please pick up a nomination form at the front desk.
