Good Friday Service

Join us at 9.30am for a special Good Friday service on Friday 14th April, with Graham Errington speaking. We’ll be meeting at our normal times of 5pm on Saturday and 8am on Easter Sunday.

Ladies Dinner

You’re invited to join the ladies of Oak Flats and beyond on Tuesday 19th April to hear Kate Stace. Dinner is $7 payable at the door, and there is no need to RSVP.

Children’s and youth programs in holidays

During school holidays our normal midweek children’s and youth programs take a break until 28th April. However we plan to continue a mini-program during the 5pm Saturday service as required.

Emergency Cyclone Debbie Appeal

Annual General Meeting

We give thanks to God for our new office holders in 2017. Our Wardens are Robert Curll, Trevor Lucas and James Rosten. Our Parish Counsellors are Pauline Swan, Nick Calhau and Paul Massey (with one more still to be nominated by the Rector). Our Synod Representative is Pauline Swan.

Jamberoo Interchurch Service

Join with fellow church-goers around our village and valley in our quarterly inter-church service. Sunday 26th March 7pm at St Matthew’s Catholic Church.

Weekendaway is next week!

Sunday 26th March is the very last day to register for next weekend’s church holiday on 31st March to 2nd April at Waterslea, near Nowra. We need to tell Youthworks our numbers by Monday morning. Please do everything you can to join us, as it’s set to be a very special time away. Peter Jensen has prepared some terrific talks on the topic ‘Being Human’, and we’re praying that God will feed us in a powerful way as the Word is preached. For the Saturday night you will need to dress up as your favourite book or movie character. 

Remember – if you can’t afford to pay, we have people who will subsidise your fees. Money has already been given, so please come and join us! And if you need to pay us later, that’s fine, too!

Our AGM will be held on Sunday 19th March, with a BYO Pot-luck lunch starting at 1pm. This is a great opportunity to meet people from across our two congregations, with the formal meeting from 2pm to 3.30pm. An important time to review the past and plan the future, as we also elect representatives to serve our church. Please pick up a nomination form at the front desk.

‘What has God Joined Together?’ booklet now available

The booklet “What has God Joined Together?” is now available. This booklet has been released by the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney to help inform Christians in our Diocese, and equip us to engage with friends and neighbours on the critical issue and debate on the redefinition of marriage.

Parish Council

Our Parish Council meets this Monday, 27th February at 2.30pm at the church. Please remember them in your prayers.

Dinner at the Bowlo

150th Anniversary Celebrations

Next weekend we remember the 150th Anniversary of the opening of our church building at Jamberoo. To celebrate, we have two, big events.

On Saturday 18th February at 3pm we’re having a free Devonshire tea and history display, whilst the kids enjoy a jumping castle and ice creams. After church at 5pm we’ll have a free sausage sizzle and lamingtons, followed by a fun night of bush dancing in the hall.

On Sunday 19th February we’re joining together for church at the special time of 9.30am, which will be followed by a delicious morning tea and free lunch together, with historical displays.

At both services we welcome Bishop Peter Hayward to speak to us from God’s word, and we will have an opportunity to give thanks to God for his faithfulness.

If you haven’t already invited friends and neighbours, then this is the week to give them a call or drop them a note.
