Carols in the Park

Enjoy Carols in the park under the stars at Jamberoo this Tuesday 13th December, starting at 6.45pm, located at Reid Park. Bring all the family along to enjoy and evening of Inter-church Carols. Bring a blanket or a chair and settle in for a lovely evening of Carols supported by the Salvation Army Band. Wet weather alternative venue is Jamberoo Public School, Churchill Street, Jamberoo. If possible, we’d love some help setting up at 9am, and packing up at the night after the event.

Christmas Carols Service

On Christmas Eve, Saturday 24th December, we’re opening our doors at 5pm for a night of Christmas Carols, with a meal afterwards. Invite your friends for this great night of singing and sharing about the saviour of the world!

Dinner after the Christmas Carols Service

You are all invited to dinner after the Christmas family carols service on Christmas Eve at Jamberoo. We will provide BBQ chicken and ask folk to bring either a salad or a dessert to share. Please let either Mandy McNeill, Annette Gibson or Lesley Errington (lesleyaerrington@gmail.com) know if you are coming, how many people are coming with you and what you would like to contribute to our feast. RSVP by Sunday 18th December if possible.

We’ve now locked in the date of our 150th Anniversary celebrations next year. We’re going to celebrate on the afternoon/evening of Saturday 18th and the morning of Sunday 19th February 2017. Keep the date free, and inviting friends of our church. Our speaker will be Bishop Peter Hayward.

‘Reading the Bible Aloud’ short course

Have you been reading the Bible in church for many years? Are you new to reading it aloud? Or would you like to, but have felt that you don’t know how? Well this course is for you! Matthias Media have produced a short course which includes text, videos and discussion, which can be valuable to everyone who reads the Bible in public.

This weekend we will be conducting the National Church Life Survey (NCLS). .

The purpose of the NCLS is to help churches to be more vital and effective. Through the survey our churchgoers will be able to give their thoughts, opinions and experiences of church life. The survey provides valuable feedback that enables leaders at local, regional and national levels to evaluate and plan for the future.

Our church’s contribution will form an important part of the national snapshot of the whole Australian Church.

National Church Life Survey

Next Saturday, 29th October and Sunday, 30th October we will be conducting the National Church Life Survey (NCLS). We will also conducting the survey for the children aged 8 and older at our Friday kids’ and youth programs this week.

Ladies Guild Cake Stall and Rose Show

The Ladies Guild are holding a cake stall on Saturday 22nd October from 9am outside the Antique shop (opposite the bowling club). Donations such as cakes, jams, pickles, marmalades & fresh produce would be greatly appreciated. All donations can be brought to the stall on the day or dropped in at the Lucas’ place beforehand – 88 Churchill Street, Jamberoo.
From midday there will be an Art, Rose and Car show. Make sure you come along and see what Jamberoo has to offer.
