Coming up this weekend 7th – 8th August 2021
This weekend Jodie will be preaching on Matthew chapter 3 with the topic, ‘Preparing the Way’. It’s the bit where we meet John the Baptist, who is leading people to repentance… but more than that, is leading people to Jesus, who is the servant king and God’s precious son.
Join us Saturday at 5pm and dinner afterwards, followed by our ‘Nightlife’ fun from 8pm. Or Sunday morning at 9am, followed by morning tea and hot espresso. We can’t wait to have you join us!
If you have any questions, simply fill out a response slip during the service, email us at office@jamberooanglican.com or send an SMS to 0439 890 086.
Here are the questions Jodie plans to answer this weekend during church:
1 In Matthew Chapter One, were the controversial women immoral or unconventional?
2 Did Jesus have all the knowledge of God or was it more like other humans his age?
3 When did Mary and Joseph actually get married?
4 When God appeared in a dream to the wise men, was it the same dream for them all?
5 Was God a scary figure in the dream to the wise men?
6 If Jesus was killed as a baby by Herod, would our sins have been forgiven?
7 Did Herod go looking for the wise men after they went home another way?
8 Where did Jesus live when he was an adult?
9 Since the Hebrews left Egypt with large flocks, why did they complain of not having meat?
10 Why do we have a Senior Minister and not a Junior Minister?
Our kids’ ministry programs run at both services. We would love to watch your children, from babies to Year 6, and have them join our leaders in a time of fun and learning. The livestream will continue on the TV in the hall so if you need to stay with your child, you won’t miss out on church.
If you’re able to join us in person, please come along for our Covid-safe service, or if you can’t be with us in person, head to watch.jamberooanglican.com to watch our livestream.
