This weekend we’re allowed ten people plus those conducting the service to attend in person. If you’d like to come in person then email jodie@jodiemcneill.com to indicate your interest, especially if you’ve not had an opportunity to physically attend in recent months.
SATURDAY PRAYER MEETING
Join us this morning at 7.30am for a half-hour prayer time at zoom.jamberooanglican.com as we pray for our church and our world at this important time.
OUR BIBLE TALK
This week we will see the revealing destruction as Jodie leads us from chapters 15 & 16 of Revelation. To watch the livestreams of our services, simply head to watch.jamberooanglican.com or connect now at zoom.jamberooanglican.com .
MISSION OF THE MONTH
Our mission of the month is Anglicare. To support this great ministry visit www.anglicare.org.au or call 1300 111 278 to talk to a member of their team.
KITCHEN RENOVATION
The electrical work is complete and the plastering is almost finished. The men from our ‘Fit for Purpose’ group will be meeting on Wednesday and Thursday to paint the room, then the flooring will be installed from Friday.
We’ve received $8,000 plus a new freezer and microwave, and now need another $4,000 for shelving, benches, and other appliances. We’d also love a commercial dishwasher, which will cost another $5,000. Can you help?
COVID RESTRICTIONS
The NSW Government has just announced that from 1st June we’ll be allowed to have many more people physically attending our church. Details will be announced next week about what this will mean for our church.
NEW SOUND SYSTEM
This week we’ve had a brand-new, digital sound desk installed, which should improve the quality of the sound for the livestream, as well as the sound from the church speakers. It also means that all the tech stuff has moved to the rear of the church, tidying up the pews.
FAMILY NEWS
Congratulations to Matt and Kiarnay Cignarella on the birth on Wednesday of Tucker Jude, a beautiful baby brother to Dawson.
SMALL GROUPS
Our midweek small groups are still running, even though they’re video conferences! Our forced home assignments mean it’s a perfect time to join one! We’ll send you the links to Zoom meetings on Sunday afternoon, but here are the meetings for you to join:
Graham and Lesley Errington – 11am Monday
Mandy McNeill (women’s group) – 9am Tuesday
Trevor and Robyn Lucas – 7:30pm Wednesday
Jodie and Mandy McNeill – 7pm Thursday
GIVING UPDATE
We give thanks to God that we’ve hit our target for giving in April! We are sincerely thankful to God for all who have switched from cash to direct giving, and for how this has given us some security in our church ministry as we look to reach out, together, to this hurting world. Praise God.
Each week we need to receive $6300.00 in order to meet our commitments. In the last calendar month, our average weekly giving was $5509.00, leaving a gap of $791.00. Up to the end of the last calendar month we needed to have received $273,000. Compared to that total we received $289,623, leaving a gap of $-16,623.
Electronic giving is a great way to give! It helps us prayerfully plan our giving, and then the bank will help us keep that commitment, even when we may be unable to attend. To give by direct transfer then these are the details. Account name: Church of England Jamberoo. Account number: 10081274. BSB: 062562.
