ANZAC DAY

Next Saturday 24th at 10:30am our village will march and gather to remember the fallen.

GONG MEN’S DAY

We’re getting the lads together for God’s word and a great gathering! Saturday morning 5th June at Dapto. Special guest speaker: Andrew Heard.

SAM AND EMILY’S WEDDING

This Friday 23rd April at 2pm, Sam Mierendorff and Emily Fackerell are getting married at our church. All are welcome!

KYCK CONFERENCE

Please be praying for our youth who are currently at the Kyck conference in the Blue Mountains, that God will speak to them and move them to become stronger in Him.

NEW OPERATIONS MINISTER

Pray for Jodie and our Wardens as they consider the appointment of an Operations Minister. Pray that our church will raise the necessary funds for this new position.

PAINTING WORKING BEE WEEK

We are meeting from 8am Monday to Thursday this week to get a head start on painting the hall. Anyone from church is welcome to come help.

Each week we need to receive $6300.00 in order to meet our commitments. Give and Live

Over the past twelve months it’s been a joy to meet most mornings with a few of you for a brief, online, service of Morning Prayer.

Each day I launch zoom.jamberooanglican.com and, with those who gather, we hear a psalm, then read a passage each from the Old and New Testaments.

We pray together, bringing to the Lord our prayers and requests about things global through to local… and particularly pray for the matters of our congregation and village.

Each day there’s a prayer called the ‘Morning Collect’ that we pray, which is a short and powerful request to God for our service of him in the day ahead:

Eternal God and Father, by whose power we are created and by whose love we are redeemed: guide and strengthen us by your Spirit, that we may give ourselves to your service, and live this day in love to one another and to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Like so many of the historical prayers our church has written and handed down to us, it begins speaking of our heavenly Father’s character… his power that created us, and his love that redeemed us.

On that firm foundation, the prayer asks for guidance and strength by God’s Spirit, as we launch into the new day that he has given us.

But the purpose of this guidance and strength is two-fold: it’s to give and to live.

We pray that we might give ourselves to God’s service—that we’d be committed to serving him in every way during the day—and that we might live in love for each other and for God, our Father.

In God’s power and love we pray that we’d give and live.

As you start each day in this coming week, why not pray this ‘Morning Collect’… and if you’re up for it, join me online at 7:30am!

Join us Saturday at 5pm and dinner afterwards, followed by our ‘Nightlife’ fun from 8pm. Or Sunday morning at 9am, followed by morning tea and hot espresso. We can’t wait to see you!

Our kids’ ministry volunteers will be taking a break over the school holidays, but we’ll still have a program for kids during just the sermon time at our services. The creche room will be available for the kids during the service. The livestream will continue on the TV in the hall so if you need to stay with your child, you won’t miss out on church.

Our Parish Council decided to increase our budget and target to fund a new staff position. Our new budget is $4,100 per week, and our new target is $4,600. We praise God that we’ve already reached the new budget in March, and that we’re half way to the new target!

NEW OPERATIONS MINISTER

Our Parish Council decided this week that we’re going to invite an ‘Operations Minister’ to join our team in the coming months. Pray we find the right person and that we can raise the funds to support them.

DINNER AND COFFEE MONEY

We’ve decided not to collect cash for dinner or coffee anymore, but to cover the costs from the general giving. Enjoy!

We’re looking for an Operations Minister to join our ministry team!

This religious practitioner position is a developing, part-time role to assist the Senior Minister in pastoral care, small group leadership, membership integration, communications, technology management, outreach, higher-level administration support, event management, church services, and occasional preaching and teaching, with an overall focus on developing and building processes, systems, policies and teams in our growing church, to the glory of God.
